Was booked in to view a property - 6 hours away from where I am, traveled to the property only to find out it was let agreed, but I received no phone call, and when I called the office several times, no answer. The estate agents knew full well we lived far, disappointing customer service.

Let me apologise to you, firstly for your time wasted and secondly for how you feel. It really is not how we conduct business.
After looking into what has happened here, I can see that there has been a misunderstanding.
We had booked viewings for the property to take place on the 28th November and then spoken to you about this.
You were booked in for the Saturday 2nd December. However when spoke to you, you had advised us that you could come down on the 25th November instead as you didnt want to miss out.
We then changed the viewing appointment in our diary and a confirmation email sent out to yourself.
That viewing on the 25th was then cancelled by yourself as you wanted to know if the landlord was happy to start a contract for the first week of January. As we didn’t hear back from the landlord in time you decided not to continue with the viewing.
We made you aware of the viewings that were still taking place on the 28th November.
We had said that we would get in touch if these viewings proved unsuccessful to conduct the viewing, then on the 2nd December.
We then didn’t rebook your viewing from the 25th into the diary for the 2nd December as there were offers coming in and due to this hadn’t had a response on the January start date from the landlord.
Offers then did come in and an offer was accepted from someone who is looking to move in ASAP.
I apologise once again , for the inconvenience this has caused you, we should have followed this up with yourself to ensure you were under the correct understanding the viewing was not going to take place.
We are very sorry that you made the journey down and wasted your time with this, it was not our intention at all. I hope that you can see that this is a genuine mistake and not hold it against us to be able to get in touch with you about other properties that we may have coming up?
